Diesel Truck Technician / Mechanics

Perform all types of repairs and diagnostics on heavy-duty trucks and equipment.

Job Responsibilities

  • Repair, overhaul, and perform routine maintenance on diesel Trucks and Equipment according to factory specifications
  • Inspect and repair engines, drivetrain, hydraulic, fuel, air, electrical, HVAC, brakes, and suspension (actual job assignments based on abilities)
  • Follows all safety regulations and policies. Works safely.
  • Meets all federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Performs work as outlined on repair orders efficiently and accurately in accordance with the dealership, factory, and customer standards.
  • Utilize testing equipment, precision instruments and gauges, hand tools, portable power tools, cranes, and hoists as needed.
  • Maintains a clean and professional work environment including tools, equipment, shop, and service truck to high appearance standards. Completes all required electronic and other documentation


A good Millwright is well-versed in the latest diagnostic equipment and technical manuals. They constantly deal with setting up, maintaining, and repairing intricate and sometimes massive machines.

Job Responsibilities

  • Assembling and installing machines then testing them to make sure they are working correctly
  • Must work in full compliance with the approved safety regulations
  • Managing the layout and placement of equipment and machinery in factory settings to ensure minimum downtime
  • Identifying and repairing problematic parts of a machine by running tests, making temporary repairs, or installing new parts
  • Dismantling older machines and replacing them with new ones
  • Overseeing preventive maintenance by identifying and correcting potential issues, removing worn out pieces, and lubricating mechanical parts
  • Using machinery or equipment, such as forklifts, to moving mechanical parts
